This class will be an introduction to butoh technique. Butoh is an avant-garde Japanese dance form started in Tokyo in 1959. Butoh blends traditional Japanese theater techniques, Kabuki and Noh, with movement improvisation. The class is about play and discovery. No dance experience is needed.
