Danielle Nicole

Danielle (Dani) began her dance training at Metropolitan Fine Arts Center, now formally known as Metropolitan School of the Arts, in Alexandria, Virginia under the direction of Melissa Dobbs and Sara Hart studying Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap and Hip Hop. During this time she participated in the Royal Academy of Dance Certificate Program completing levels 3 through 8, under the direction of Leslie Sherrer. She also was a part of Metropolitan Youth Tap Ensemble and performed at the DC Tap Festival, and at the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. Danielle spent her summers studying at The Rock School of Ballet, the Kirov Ballet and The Ailey School in New York City.

Danielle committed to pursue a BFA in dance, choreography at Virginia Commonwealth University. While at VCU she had the pleasure of working with Christian von Howard, Autumn Waddell, Melanie Richards, Eric Rivera, Maria Bauman and Doug Varone. In the summer of 2015 she performed in the Footprints faculty concert under Anna Sperber at the American Dance Festival in Durham, North Carolina.

From VCU, Danielle went on to teach at the studio level and in the private school system at The Collegiate School and at West End Academy of Dance. She taught Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and Modern at WEAD. Danielle was at WEAD for 5 and a half years and is still inspired daily by the dedicated students at West End Academy of Dance in Richmond, VA.

Danielle moved to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in July of 2022 and taught at DanCenter Vietnam for 2 years. While in Vietnam she also performed in a dance theater performance by John Cunnington with Sabra Johnson and performed improvisational works with a traditional Vietnamese singer.
