Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m a dancer and choreographer driven to train more, do more, and learn more about dance.

Amanda Liscouski is a dance maker based in Charlottesville, Virginia for the past 15 years. She is the founder of Cumulus Dance, a space for modern + contemporary dancers gathering in community to practice, create, and perform.

She began her training in classical ballet and modern dance at Loudoun Ballet and Fairfax Ballet. At Piedmont Virginia Community College she studied modern dance and improvisation under Cat Maguire and Anne Megibow. In more recent years, she’s trained with Emily Wright, Olivia Rivard Hill, and Marge Allen.

Choreographers she has worked with include Shane O’Hara of JMU, Shannon Hummel of Cora Dance, Jess Burgess of Rva Dance Collective, Zilda Baker and Ellie de Waal of Harrisonburg Dance Cooperative, and Ruth Olga Sherman as independent. In addition to site specific works, she has performed in concert venues including McGuffey Art Center Studio 20, V. Earl Dickinson Theatre, and Dogtown Dance Theatre.

As a longtime performing artist member of McGuffey Art Center, Amanda served as Executive Council President 2022-2023.

Amanda danced as a guest performer with ORH Dance Company seasons 2025-2026 and again 2026-2027.

Additionally, she is a guest teacher and choreographer for Balletschool at Charlottesville Center for the Arts.
